We spent the better part of Sunday afternoon at the Sunway Pyramid, shopping and eating.
The eating part, we totally indulged ourselves. Lured by the recent spate of rave reviews, we walked into the newly opened Wendy’s.
When we arrived, there were already lines of long queues forming behind the boisterous serving counters. Throng of burger lovers were seen hunched protectively over their enormous meaty sandwiches, totally oblivious to the environs. The food must be good, we thought.
So we patiently waited and when our turn came promptly ordered a double 1/2 pounder cheese burger combo, a Chicken Sensation burger combo and two pieces of fried chicken. The popular shrimp burger was apparently oversold. Anyway…
We ate like two food-deprived homeless vagabonds.
Truth is, the burgers were so good, even CY, a burger-phile of no slovenly taste, commented in her state of gastronomic euphoria, it’s better than Burger King’s offerings. “The meat is so much more tender than Burger King’s. The cheese, oh, the cheese is heaven.”
I highly recommend it.
