Mooncake Festival is an occasion for families to get together and catch up on one another’s hectic life. Brothers, sisters, in-laws, friends and neighbours huddle around the table alfresco nibbling mooncakes, sipping Chinese tea and feasting their eyes upon the luminous perfect Moon, all these in the lofty mood of festivity.
This was exactly what we did a couple of nights ago. After a sumptuous and exquisite dinner of home-cooked chicken cum duck rice, we assembled by the pool in the airy porch. With junk food, mooncakes, colas and tea by our sides, we endulged ourselves in toto as we launched ourselves into an endless but carefree and hilarious palaver.
I don’t really remember the last time I had this much of fun.
